Deleting your SkiNav account
Last updated: 2026-08-14
This page explains how to delete your SkiNav account (`com.skinav.app`) and exactly what happens to your data when you do.
Delete your account from inside the app
1. Open SkiNav and make sure you are signed in. 2. Go to the Account tab. 3. Scroll to Delete account. 4. Confirm when asked.
Deletion happens immediately and is irreversible — there is no recovery period and no way for us to restore the account afterwards.
If you can't access the app
Email support@skinav.app from the address your account uses, asking for deletion. We will verify the request comes from the account holder and delete it for you.
What is deleted
Everything tied to your account is removed:
- Your profile — display name, profile picture, and invite code
- Your account itself, including the email address and sign-in credentials
- Your last broadcast location
- Your friendships, in both directions
- Your recorded ski runs, including the altitude readings stored with them
- Your SOS alert history
- Your usage events
- Your device push-notification tokens
What is kept, and for how long
- Encrypted database backups are retained for up to 30 days for disaster recovery, then purged on a rolling basis. Your data is not restored from them after a deletion; they age out.
- Map improvements we previously derived from altitude readings stay in our resort maps. These are aggregated across many users and contain nothing that identifies you or reconstructs your runs.
Data that was never on our servers
Personal pins and app preferences are stored only on your device, so they are not affected by account deletion. They are removed when you uninstall SkiNav or clear its data.
Deleting only some of your data
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove data:
- Recorded runs can be deleted individually — open a run from the Runs tab and delete it there.
- For anything else, email support@skinav.app.
